Had a lovely stay! The breakfast was superb, especially the Stornoway black pudding. The bar was well stocked and the friendly staff made our visit memorable. I would absolutely return!

The kitchen hours were inconsistent, leading to some confusion about meal times, especially when a promised dinner reservation fell through, leaving us dining elsewhere. the bathroom was cold upon arrival, with the towel heater not operational.

the location was super convenient for portree n also a great base for exploring the northern part of the island. the staff were super friendly and helpful, breakfast was plentiful with good quality ingredients. our room had a huge bed that was super comfy, and everything felt light and airy and clean.

the shower enclosure was a bit tight n i felt the room pics online didn't do justice to how nice and modern it actually was. also, the hotel could be a lil loud at times.

The Skye Inn is beautifully decorated with a cozy, open fire in the dining area, making it inviting for seniors. The staff were exceedingly helpful and the entire atmosphere was relaxing, truly enhancing our enjoyable stay.

More grab bars in the shower would be helpful.

my stay at skye inn was quite pleasant. the room was comfortable, and the bathroom looked brand new. you can’t beat the cleanliness here! the staff was super friendly and offered great dining recommendations, which led us to an amazing local pub. i also liked how close it was to the center, just a short walk away.

Matt and his partner were both very accommodating. the room size felt cramped due to the large bed, and there were some issues with slow breakfast service, as smaller parties were often overlooked in favor of larger groups. The hotel overall was clean, but missing drink facilities in the room was disappointing.

Soundproofing leaves much to be desired, especially in rooms near the reception. you can hear every interaction at the front desk, which can disrupt your sleep. Breakfast service felt chaotic, with significant delays. we waited longer for drinks than for the main meal. The musty odor lingering in our room was a bit off-putting, and the bright green emergency exit light made it difficult to sleep without covering it up.

Staying here was a lovely experience. the Scottish breakfast was top-notch, and they even surprised my kid with a birthday cake! The cozy common room and a great selection of board games made it a perfect spot to unwind. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but it didn't take away from the overall charm of our stay. 🎉

We enjoyed our two-night stay, but some details could be better. The lounge area and bar provided a relaxed atmosphere after a day of exploring. Enjoy a full English breakfast, but ensure to ask for tea-making facilities ahead of time. Pack earplugs for a peaceful night's sleep.

Excellent staff and delicious food

During my stay, I was impressed by the attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The food was exceptional, especially the breakfast with its variety of freshly cooked traditional dishes. the room I booked had two single beds pushed together instead of a king-size mattress, which was a bit uncomfortable during the night.

Clean rooms and dog-friendly, but parking is off-site and tricky at night.
